Chain
Cable chain is commonly constructed using oval-shaped links that are uniform, all links equal in size and shape. A great choice in jewelry and accessory making for its versatility, sturdiness and dependability.
Curb chain is slightly twisted so that it lays flat. A style that slopes downward, a very popular choice in jewelry making, available in a wide variety of metals.
Rolo chain is similar to Cable chain in tis construction but made with circular links, typically of half-round wire, the inside of the link flat, and the outside rounded. Variations include long drawn links appearing stretched, or wire with beveled edges creating flat edges instead.
Figaro chain typically has a stretched appearance with its links slightly twisted, as to lay flat when worn, great for elegant jewelry designs.
Beading chain or Coreana chain is made with long, thin rectangular links with a solid appearance resembling wire or cord, rather than chain. Made of solid soldered links, it needs a special connector to add other findings. Nice choice for jewelry making, similar to bead stringing materials to thread through beads.
Ball chain is small links clamped down over wire equally spaced along the length. Commonly seen with dog tag' styles, its available in 'dot' and 'dot-dash' variations. Tube-shaped ball chain connectors close the links.
